New K3 Program

February 26, 2026
By

This year marks a special milestone for our school community at TCPS — the very first year of our K3 program! What began as an exciting new addition to our campus has quickly become one of the greatest blessings of the school year. From the very first day of class, it has been clear that our youngest learners have found a joyful, nurturing place to grow.

Our K3 classroom has been filled with laughter, discovery, and meaningful learning experiences. Students have enjoyed hands-on activities, creative crafts, engaging games, and foundational lessons that build early academic skills. Even more importantly, they are learning about God’s love in a safe and trusted Christian environment.

K3 teacher Briley Backstrom shares, “The Pre-K3 classes at TCPS are a great opportunity for parents to enroll their children in trusted classrooms that provide a quality education while learning about the Lord. We provide fun activities, games, and crafts while teaching basic skills and preparing students for the Pre-K4 class!”

Each day in K3 is thoughtfully designed to help children grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Students are developing early literacy and math skills, practicing classroom routines, learning to share and cooperate, and building the confidence they need for the next step in their educational journey.

Our elementary principal, Cathy Russell, has seen firsthand the impact this new program has had on campus:
“The presence of our K3 students has brought a special energy to our campus, reminding us daily of the importance of nurturing hearts and building strong foundations. I am incredibly grateful to our dedicated teachers and assistants whose patience, care, and hard work have made this addition such a success.”

One of the most heartwarming aspects of our K3 program has been the way it has strengthened our entire school family. Older students have embraced the opportunity to encourage and support the youngest members of our campus, creating a beautiful picture of mentorship and community. Watching our K3 students transition from tentative first steps to confident smiles has been a reminder of why Christian education is so important.

As we reflect on this inaugural year, we are filled with gratitude. The success of our K3 program confirms what we hoped from the beginning: that even our youngest learners can thrive when given a loving, faith-centered foundation.
We are excited to continue growing this wonderful program in the years to come. If this first year is any indication, K3 at TCPS will remain one of the brightest and sweetest parts of our school community for many years ahead.

Lady Eagles Volleyball!

August 17, 2021
By Stacey L Meredith

It is an exciting time at TCPS as we begin a new chapter in athletics with the start of the new volleyball program. Girls had expressed an interest in volleyball for years, and we are so glad to finally see it come to fruition. For a first-year team, we have a great group of girls who bring athleticism, skill, and great potential to the table. They have been working hard this summer to learn the game and improve their form and technique. It has been so encouraging to see their improvement week to week. A big challenge for all of us has been making the leap from recreational-style volleyball to competitive volleyball. Most girls came in knowing the basics of volleyball; now we are working to find the best role on the court for each girl. My desire is for them to be a well-rounded player but to find a position in which they can focus and develop for greatest success.

It has been a joy and pleasure to work with each of these girls. We are looking forward to a great building year and have high hopes for their success in the future.

I want to say a special thank you to the Booster Club for helping us get our program up and running with the purchase and installation of new equipment in the gym. Thank you to all the Booster Club members who make our athletics possible every day.

Come out and support your Lady Eagles!
