PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

The philosophy of Tupelo Christian Preparatory School (TCPS) is founded on the Word of God and reflects the School’s Mission and Statement of Faith. This philosophy includes:

Tolerating no activity of any kind or for any purpose on the property or in the name of the school that detracts or deviates from the philosophy of the school;

Evangelistically presenting to each student, in the classroom and appropriate contexts, Jesus Christ as the one and only Savior of mankind and available, as such, to every living human being, one person at a time;

Teaching all academic subjects from the perspective that no learning of true worth emanates from any source other than the preeminent truth, Jesus Christ, as the sole creator and initiator of all matter and all persons and that He, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, is the only God being perfectly omniscient and perfectly in order;

Teaching all subject matter based on the presuppositional truth that all things consist and subsist by and through Jesus Christ alone without the necessity of agents;

Teaching all subject matter based on the presuppositional truth that during the interlude in eternity called time, everything, persons and matter, from his/her/its creation devolves to the point of utter destruction which, for human beings is an eternally ongoing process unless rescued there from, one by one, by acceptance of the saving grace and through the shed blood of Jesus Christ;

Teaching all subject matter based on the presuppositional truth that human beings are created alive at conception and, from conception, are subject to treatment, in all matters, as live persons sacredly created by Jesus Christ for a life precious to Jesus Christ and not subject to termination by an act of the will of any person, including the person so created
