ADVISORY COMMITTEE

 The existence and charge of the Advisory Committee comes from the board. No School Board member sits on the committee. The Advisory Committee is charged to assist the Headmaster in:

• Supporting the philosophy of the school.
• Serving as a clearinghouse for new ideas, concerns, practices, and procedures.
• Promoting and enhancing better general communication between the parents, students, staff, and area churches.
• Coordinating and serving on non-board subcommittees

The Advisory Committee aims to maintain a size of ten (10) members. The School Board selects the members who serve on the Advisory Committee upon recommendation from the Headmaster.

The Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet at least eight times a year. The meetings are open, except when executive sessions are called. If a parent wishes to address the Advisory Committee on any matter, the Advisory Committee requests that the matter be put it in writing and submit it at least two weeks prior to a meeting.
